Connectors:
Q. What is the material of the connectors?
A. Connectors are made from clear acrylic multipolymer. This
material is medical grade and it meets USP Class VI requirements.
Q. Can connectors be sterilized?
A. Yes. They can be sterilized by ethylene oxide or radiation
method of sterilization.
Q. Can the connectors be steam autoclaved?
A. No. The material will not withstand the high temperature
of steam autoclave. We can produce connectors in different material
suitable for this application on special request.
Q. How do you attach tube to connectors?
A. On barbed connectors, you simply stretch the flexible
tube over the barb. For straight connector, you can bond the
tube on the inside or outside diameter using suitable adhesive
or solvent.
Valves
Q. What is the material of the valves?
A. Valve housing is made of clear acrylic multipolymer. The
inner disc is made of silicone. Both materials are medical grade
and meet USP Class VI requirements.
Q. Can the valves be sterilized?
A. Yes. They can be sterilized by ethylene oxide or radiation
method of sterilization.
Q. Can the valves be steam autoclaved?
A. No. The materials will not withstand the high temperature
of steam autoclave. We can produce valves in different materials
suitable for this application on special request.
Q. How do you attach tube to valves?
A. You simply stretch the flexible tube over the barb. For
straight valves, you can bond the tube on the inside or outside
diameter using suitable adhesive or solvent.
Q. What is the opening pressure of the valves?
A. Different valves have different opening pressures. Most
open at less than 3 inch of water (0.1 psi or 7.5 milibar) pressure.
